What doors do I enter through?

For Sunday morning worship, you are invited to enter through 2, 3, or 4 (door 4 is handicap accessible). For Wednesday night programming, the best doors would be door 3 or 4 (door 4 is handicap accessible).

Common Questions for Holy Communion
  • What is Holy Communion?
    • In the Lutheran Tradition, Holy Communion is one of the two sacraments that God gives to comfort, strengthen, and empower God's people. In Martin Luther's Small Catechism, he describes it as "the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ himself for us Christians to eat and to drink." In other words, Jesus promises to show up– to be present with us and for us. Where Jesus is, forgiveness, renewal, and new life comes into the picture!
  • Who can receive Holy Communion?
    • Each and every week, when offering Communion Instructions, the Presiding Minister says the words, "God calls all people to this table to share in God's food." All are welcome to receive God's gift of Holy Communion. We recognize and understand some prefer to wait until they and/or their children are baptized before receiving communion. In such cases, they are invited to come forward to receive a blessing from a Pastor or Deacon.
  • How do you offer Holy Communion?
    • We have gluten and gluten free wafers available. We also have wine and grape juice available. As you come forward, the Presiding Minister will offer you a wafer or blessing as requested. Then you are welcome to walk to the Communion Assistants and you can either take a pre-filled cup with grape juice or an empty cup, which the communion assistant will fill with wine. All empty cups may then be placed in baskets at the end of each of the front rows before returning to your seat.
