Andrew McNeely joined the staff at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church as the Coordinator of Youth Discipleship in July of 2025. Andrew and his wife, Lindsay, have been members of ACLC since 2019, and their son August, born in May of 2024, was baptized on July 28th, 2024. They currently reside in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Andrew received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 2020 and is now entering his 5th year as a Ph.D. candidate in Theology at the University of Dayton. Go Flyers! Andrew is also an instructor in UD’s Department of Religious Studies and has taught several courses on Religion, Theology, and Church History. His research interests include American evangelicalism, theological education, the history of American education, cultural studies, politics, and American religious history. Prior to his graduate studies, Andrew was an assistant college basketball coach at Manchester University (IN) and Anderson University (IN).
If you don’t find Andrew off in a corner or coffee shop obsessively reading his endless accumulation of books, you will likely discover him sifting through used vinyl at a local record store, trying new restaurants with Lindsay, wrangling his energizer-bunny-son, or enjoying lowkey pastimes like listening to a baseball game on the radio or watching classic movies from the 1950s. Andrew especially enjoys connecting with young people at Abiding Christ and learning about their stories as they explore questions of faith, church, and “what’s next.” In fact, he’d love to hear your story!
