We are happy to present the 2021 Advent Readers’ Theater production, “Finding Christmas,”
Your kids and I have been working on this project since early November:

* adapting the script
* recording dialogue (100+ audio files)
* taking and posing for pictures (2,600+)
* adjusting costumes (yes, the magi do look better with headpieces)
* creating backdrops and set pieces (thanks for working around them)
* splicing/adjusting/re-recording the audio tracks
* choosing/cropping photos
* editing (days and days of computer editing)

When we first began, we talked about the main story line, and that in the little bear’s search for Christmas, he encounters many others who are searching as well. The original book was designed to feature a short story for each day of December, leading to Christmas Day. The kids portrayed dozens of characters, often taking on multiple roles. Few of them knew what the finished product would be like, but each gave his/her best efforts, trusting that their labors would contribute to the quality of the whole. Through their efforts and faith in me, I am reminded that God asks every one of us to give our best. It’s not our job to know His plan, only to work for good and trust in Him.

Thank you for your children and the lessons that they teach. They are very special gifts.
I pray that each of you finds Christmas this season.
